“Dreams for my Daughter/Dreams for my Mother”

Dreams for my Daughter
Dreams for my Mother
“If women are healthy and educated, their families will flourish. If women are free from violence, their families will flourish. If women have a chance to work and earn as full and equal partners in society, their families will flourish. And when families flourish, communities and nations do as well. That is why every woman, every man, every child, every family, and every nation on this planet does have a stake in the discussion that takes place here.”

Hillary Rodham Clinton

The American Corner invites young women to participate in
“Dreams for my Daughter/Dreams for my Mother”

This project is inspired by Hillary Rodham Clinton’s dedication to empowering women all around the world. Mother/Daughter pairs will be recorded interviewing one another. Then, these videos will be posted online to share with the world.

You can ask:
• What are your hopes and dreams for me?
• What advice would you give me about raising my own daughter, if I decide to have children?
• How has your life been different than what you'd imagined?

Your mother could ask:

• Tell me about some women you admire? Your role models?
• If you could do anything now, what would you do? Why?
